About

I am a counselling psychologist who has interests in the integration of therapy and faith/spirituality, mindfulness, working at relational depth, as well as creative approaches to therapeutic practice, including therapeutic photography and creative writing for well-being. I am also a research supervisor, writer, trainer, and do consultancy work for professional organisations. I have experience working in the NHS as well as more than twenty years’ experience in higher education.

Alongside my private clinical work, I’m involved in developing professional standards, the application of safeguarding frameworks, and training resources for counsellors and organisations. I enjoy helping practitioners grow in confidence, critical thinking, and relational skills.

My work is grounded in a deep respect for the complexity of people’s lives and the social, cultural, spiritual, and relational contexts that shape them. I’m particularly interested in how power, identity, and lived experience influence the therapeutic relationship, and I bring that awareness into every aspect of my work.

I am accredited and regulated by the Health and Care Professions Council and British Psychological Society, and am an Honorary Fellow of the Association of Christians in Counselling and Linked Professions.
